The brief asked for an illustrated online-meeting place app that fosters genuine connection as an escape from the polarised landscape of social media.

My insight came from the rising trend of people switching from social media to instead hobby apps. I conducted primary research into hobbies and found that overwhelmingly having someone to share or do their hobby with will boost motivation.

Therefore I decided on an app designed to connect users with a hobby buddy as a solution. The illustration style is fun and welcoming, combining shapes to reflect the building of hobbies.
